Myopia (short sightedness) is a common visual problem that can affect vision at all distances but especially for seeing things further away.

It is a growing issue that now affects more and more children as well as adults.

Being able to reduce myopia progression and potentially halt it in children, is an exciting new avenue of optometry. At Martin Haynes we provide both Misight lenses and Orthokeratology.

We are providers of OrthoKeratology (Dream Lens vision  therapy). Ortho-K aims to correct vision while you sleep leaving you with clear vision through the day. Studies have shown it can slow down myopia progression and reduce how short-sighted a child may become.

We also provide Mysight lenses which are a soft lens alternative that children can wear during the day, which aim to also slow down myopia progression.
